How to Play

Pickleball is a fun, easy-to-learn sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels. The game is played with a paddle and a wiffle ball on a court that is similar to a badminton court. Players use the paddle to hit the ball back and forth across the net, similar to tennis. The rules are easy to learn, and with a little practice you'll be playing pickleball in no time.

The History of Pickleball

Pickleball, a sport combining elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis, was invented in the mid-1960s on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Founders Joel Prichard, Barney McCallum, and Bill Bell initially created the game to entertain their children. However, it quickly gained popularity among adults. The rules evolved over time, including the establishment of a non-volley zone and a net height of 36 inches. Originally played for pleasure, demand for equipment led to the formation of Pickle-ball, Inc. The game spread from Bainbridge Island to Seattle and beyond, becoming a popular recreational activity throughout the world.
